I used these to replace the factory fog lights on my 93 Jeep Cherokee. I didn't want to remove the bumper so had to come up with a creative combination of nuts, bolts and locking washers to connect these to the factory mounts. If you want a tight fit but still allow them to be adjustable (for aiming), without them flopping around on rough roads, using multiple locking washers worked perfect for me.
I also wanted to use the factory (dash installed) fog light switch in my jeep rather than the fisher-price looking switch that PIAA attached to these. What I did was lock the PIAA switch so that it was always in the ON position and attached the piaa-switch's power supply wire and a line from the battery's + terminal to the dash switch. When the dash switch it turned to ON it powers the piaa-switch (which is always ON) and activates the lights. I learned from my mistake of trying to power these PIAA lights from the factory's fog light power setup. Blown fuses and a smoking relay box under the hood is generally bad. These lights are powerful - there is a reason they come with their own relay. This setup also means that if I want to add another set to my bumper I can do so without adding another switch.
I used them right away too. I bought them because I knew I was going on a 4 hour mountain drive through blowing snow over the weekend. These cut through the snow, lit up the road (and surroundings) and made it to the point I would need to squint when reading a reflective road sign. These are easily twice as bright as the high beams on my upgraded headlights - keep this in mind and don't turn them on toward other drivers.
Never in a million years did I expect to spend this much money on 'lights' - but with their effect I would do it again in a second.
As a bonus I found that when working in my cold garage I can get comfortably warm just by flicking these lights on for a couple minutes :)

The ratings for piaa lights are strange, there are also different wattages of bulb you can install I highly recommend the 100 watt bulbs the 85 watt are a little on the weak side. The mounting and the removal of the protective cover are excellent and overall adjustment is very easy. I got the 5 degree light pattern and have 4 of them mounted in my push bumper.
