I have purchased this sub to replace a blown one. I put it in a 6 ohm cabinet and it sounds good. I haven't broken it in yet but I can already tell that it wont be able to handle the 250 watts it was rated for. it also seems to struggle a little with the low bass. If you are looking for a high powered sub do not get this product. But it gets the job done fairly well. in the future i probably will get a different brand if i end up blowing this one. but over all its a good product.

I dredged up some old speaker cabinets from 1979 that my family had been storing, hoping that they would magically sound amazing. They didn't. However, upon finding these gems I quickly replaced the old subs with the Pyramids to great effect. The sound quality is excellent and they can handle quite a bit of power. The only slight problem I experienced was that the screw-holes didn't quite match up with those in my cabinets, but the metal housing of the subwoofer was just flexible enough to accommodate the difference. These speakers also shipped with fresh wiring should you need it. Note, these do require a bit of soldering to achieve a good connection and eliminate any buzzing or crackling. The old cabinets now sound amazing, and I bought two of these basically for the price of one. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to refurbish their old speakers or simply embolden their stereo system.

This item is AWESOME. About 9 years ago, I took the Wilton cake decorating classes. No one told me there was a kit, so I began purchasing items one-by-one. I loved the classes, and enjoyed them. I wasn't very careful at that time with my items, and many got destroyed. I gave up the cake decorating for quite a while. I have a 9 year old and 20 month old twins now, and always looking for ways to cut costs. I decided I wanted to make my twin's birthday cake this year, and the first thing I thought about was 'Gotta get the entire kit!!'. Since I know I'll only being doing 'around the house cakes' and not decorating for events, I knew this kit would be perfect, with all the basics! Plus if you add up the cost of all the items included, you certainly SAVE money! Always a plus! The color on this Tool Caddy is much better than the color of the one you can buy with no assesories. Buy this item with confidence! I'm sure you'll enjoy.

This is a great kit, portable and very well-suited to someone who wants to decorate cakes/cookies but not go all out with wedding cakes, as the largest kit does.

The book is fairly detailed as an introduction, and there is a good selection of tips inside. Even though you cannot store the larger tips on the points, you can however put other small tips in between those already on the plastic points--especially for example Tip #225 which has a little metal frosting guide insert that could get bent or broken if you try to press it down on the plastic point. This would help you keep duplicates or tip families together in quadrants, if you didn't want to keep them just in the straight rows.

I agree about the box colors available--they could have done much better in that regard.

My main concern (and why it only gets 4 stars) is how long the hinge on the lid will hold up over time, since it seems to be made of plastic without any metal reinforcement.

I got mine using a 50% off coupon at the local chain craft store, so even Amazon's price seems rather high to me.

These plates came with no instructions. It is unknown whether they have to be seasoned or not. When I washed the plates, the water beaded on the surface of the plates. I am not sure if this means the plates have a coating or if cast iron always beads like this. I am assuming they are cast iron with no coating and seasoned them. The plates work perfectly and the meal on these plates was excellent. I cooked the steak, placed the plates in the oven (with no steak on them) at 450 degrees until they were very hot. Then placed the plates on the table, rubbed butter (I know, fattening) to the surface of the plates, and placed pieces of steak onto the plates. The steak sizzled in the butter. The meal was excellent. Not something I will use every day. But when I cook steak, these will work out well. Have always wanted to make a steak meal like my favorite steak restaurant. Now I can.

I gave this product four stars instead of five because: Where are the instructions?????
At least a paper saying they have to be seasoned or not.

I have to admit that the only reason I bought these towels was that I wanted Burgundy towels to change my bathroom for Christmas. I really didn't care abut the quality because I was only going to use them for about a month. What a surprise when I received the towels I couldn't believe how soft they were. I read other reviews that said they washed terribly and left a lot of lint and pills. I washed mine and found done of that they came out beautifully and were just as soft. I will definitely be buying another set in Amethyst.

Unreal......After thoroughly reading the reviews for these towels I ordered four sets in 4 different colors.
They arrived in two separate deliveries which is fine.
I was ready to be impressed after all the great statements about the quality of this product.
BOY WAS I EVER IMPRESSED!
I put them individually through their first washing following the instructions faithfully.
To put it politely, they came out absolutely horrible.....pulled threads EVERYWHERE.....but most especially on the "AMETHYST" group which was shipped separately from the other three groups.
They all are pretty terrible but especially this Amethyst group.
I will say "absolute waste of money and a total disappointment......total"
I expect I will have the Nicest rag box in my entire town within the month.
$225.00 worth of garbage.
Save your money and don't rely on the high ratings that are shown for these towels.
You are better off just going to Wal Mart.
BOOOOOO.....Minus six Stars.

Having discovered French Press coffee a year ago I bought the Bodum Columbia Insulated French Press, which I love. However spare parts are not readily available for that line yet. So I started shopping for a press that I could get spare parts for. I have also read that a glass press can produce a slightly more complex flavored cup of coffee because the coffee will cool slightly while brewing. So I picked this press out based on my past happiness with Bodum products. I am the only coffee drinker in my house so I decided that I did not require a large 12-cup press. I also knew that I would not drink all that coffee before it became too cool. This is my first 8-cup press. I will spare you a review filled of reasons why you should use a French press to make coffee and instead tell you why you should buy this French press to do it! So here I go.

Durability- This press is composed of a glass beaker that lifts out of the metal-banded handle assembly. It has a metal lid that is polished to a beautiful mirror finish. Also has a metal plunger rod, metal filter and metal filter ring and cross filter base. However it has a plastic shoulder nut (my one complaint, although I was able to get a metal replacement from Bodum at no cost). The way the plunger assembly goes together is simple and can be assembled easily by hand. First the plunger rod is fitted through the hole in the lid. Then the shoulder nut is screwed onto the rod. Then the large metal ring with round holes and a spring around the edge goes on. Beneath that the fine metal filter then beneath that the cross filter base. The rod screws into the cross base and secures everything up against the shoulder nut. This description may seem somewhat complex however it is very simple in practice and fool proof. The plunger lid assembly is quite sturdy and durable. The metal-banded handle assembly, which holds the beaker, is also sturdy and polished. The handle is a very hard plastic and comfortable to grip and hold. Fully assembled you have a durable (for glass) press that can easily stand up to daily use. I use mine daily with no problems at all.

Ease of cleaning- This press easily disassembles by hand and can be completely cleaned with little effort. I soak mine in hot soapy water after every use then rinse clean and towel dry. Proper cleaning is critical to maintaining consistent coffee flavor. A dirty coffee maker will taint coffee with bad tastes. This press cleans very easily, much easier than my old drip machine did!

Ease of use- This press is used as any French press. Drop your grounds in, add water off of boil, let grounds steep for 4-5 minutes then slowly press the plunger down. Pour and enjoy. If you make more than you will drink right away then pour it into a separate insulated thermos. I leave my coffee in this until I have it drank. With the lid turned to close the spout this coffee stays warm enough for me for a half hour. Face it; the first cup will be too hot to drink right away. The second will be hot but drinkable. The third will be warm. This makes 2-3 coffee mugs. Great for a single drinker who likes 2 or 3 mugs at a time, like me. Or great for 2 light coffee drinkers (a mug and a half a piece). Coffee will always be best the sooner is it consumed after brewing is completed. In this press or any press/coffee maker.

Overall quality- For around $30 this is a fantastic value. Like I said above I was leery of the plastic shoulder nut which could wear after multiple assemblies and disassemblies, but I was able to get a metal replacement at no cost making this a much better value. All in all a great investment in better coffee drinking and piece of mind. I also like the ability to get spare parts if I should ever need them.

In closing I really love this press it holds up to daily use and maintains it great classic looks. Makes great coffee and is perfect for a single coffee drinker who likes 2 or 3 mugs of coffee as I do. It's smaller size than my 12-cup press makes for easier cleaning and handling. I am very happy with this purchase and for $30 you cannot go wrong. I recommend this to you highly! Whether you are new to French press coffee making or like me wanted a smaller easier to clean daily coffee press. I still love my 12-cup for parties, but this press is my personal daily coffee maker of choice. I love it!

Contrary to others, my assembly was smooth and painless.
One of my shelves was not laminated on both sides, but who looks at the bottom of a shelf.

The only thing I didn't care for were the feet. Yes, they're adjustable (nice touch), but I'm going to replace them with casters. Even without the TV, the stand loaded down with DVDs doesn't move easily.

Bought this saw + jobsite stand combo a few months ago to build from scratch an 18x10 workshop plus serve as my primary framing/trim saw for a cottage remodel. I'm an ex. contractor who now primarily works on my own investment properties at a very casual rate (I have a day job).

Unlike some of the other reviews for the saw itself (or combo) both parts arrived unscathed via the shipping company.

The jobsite stand has a number of hole patterns depending upon which saw you happen to be attaching to it. I'm not sure why one reviewer found the supports did not lineup with the saw once attached, the position is as expected.

It's absolutely worth getting the stand, even if the saw is going to be mostly static, folded it takes up far less space than a home constructed miter saw stand with extensions. Another plus is that you can do all kind of modifications to the rig and end up with a nice mobile workstation.

Out of the box accuracy was quite good, I did (as with every saw I've purchased) adjust alignment to zero tolerance though, may as well start with a clean plate. The supplied blade is of good quality and is still very serviceable following the completion of the 18x10 workshop.

The Good:

Soft start avoids any torque jerk (which shouldn't be a problem, we're all using clamps right ?)
Actually not too loud
Laser works well and has an independent dedicated switch (also see not so good comments)
Slide mechanism has minimal left/right play (as noted in other reviews there appears to be one bearing missing on one of the four slides, it's by design)
Vertical height stop makes cutting occasional dado's manageable (also see not so good comments)
Setting the vertical angle when not using positive stops is better than most saws, the motor/gearbox/blade assembly doesn't require a block and tackle to keep it in place while you tighten down, it also doesn't skew the angle when you do tighten
Horizontal movement is smooth and light, the lock mechanism is easy and convenient (lock 1/2 twist left, unlock push 1/2 twist right)

Not so Good:

A permanent left + right laser would be an asset, you have to double check once it's moved to for left/right operation to make sure the blade aligns with it (it's not always correct)
If you are using the vertical height stop the depth of cut can be quite sensitive to downward pressure variations, no match for a table saw + dado blade
Only a single vertical clamp included, an option for 2 vertical, 2 horizontal would be nice (not easy to find online and costly)
As above for crown molding stops if you'd rather cut crown molding without doing compound cuts
Needs a secondary power cable clip as standard to nicely route the cable (yes, very minor)

The Bad:

I have not found any aspects of the saw that fall into this category

Neutral:

This saw is heavy (75lbs) but it has huge capacity. The jobsite stand seems more appropriate than hauling, it's more a wheel around. My regular (naked) contract miter saw is a 10 inch (non-slide) that is under 30lbs, so this one not so easy to carry up/down/all over. I've physically assessed a number of 12 inch slide peer class saws from Dewalt, Bosch, Hitachi etc. and overall this saw from Makita feels (to me) more solid and stable in its design.

I'll update the review in time as the cottage remodel rolls out, there's a lot of compound cuts for that.

UPDATE: A question was asked as to the vertical cut capacity. Makita's claims are true, this saw will accommodate 6.5" high vertical stock (3/4" width) and cut maximum of 45 deg left, 50 deg right. I know this as I tried it with my own suitably sized material.

Best features of all brands hands down. The portability is great especially if you are limited on space. It is a bit heavy, but you shouldn't have to lift the entire unit too often. Can't ever really go wrong with Makita. When I purchased Amazon had the best deal around by a large margin. Some charge over $1000.

I do wish that it came with more clamps though.

This bedspread was more beautiful in real life. Color was awsome. I am total happy. It is a little long for my queen size bed, but i have a older mattress and boxsprings, so now I told my hubby I need a knew pillow top mattress and it should be just fine.

The color wasn't the color given. The color that came was sage green. I kept it because the qilting was soft and very nice and it fit in with drapes which was pink and sage. So maybe it worked out for the best.

I just received my bedspread today and I had to run not walk to give my review. I ordered the sienna and on my computer it was true to color. It is just perfect. It adds that splash of color that I need for my bedroom. I have a 12" mattress with a 3" temper pedic top and it's so wonderful that I've finally found a spread that goes all the way to the floor. I bought my last bedspread from QVC, paid the same price, and I had to get a bed skirt to cover the gap. Plus it was so thin. And the first time I washed it, it practically fell apart. I knew that the next time I washed it that would be the end of it. This spread is so thick and plush; I just love it. It's still out on how it will hold up when I have to clean it but right now I have no reservations. From my experience I would most definitely recommend it.

This teapot looked gorgeous online and I bought it for a friend as a gift. Unfortunately the glazing on it is terrible. There are lines around the spout on one side only where the glaze was not applied evenly and some of the white spots are not rounded spots at all but have bits of glaze missing. I have glazed pottery and ceramics for several years so I know a little about glazing application and why certain flaws occur. I also discovered after I had received the teapot that this is made in China which worried me a little as one never knows if they use lead free, food safe glazes. I thought this was a reasonably good quality teapot as the cups that go with it are over $35 a set, I'm glad now I didn't buy them with the teapot.

The teapot came in a beautiful round hat box with the same design on the box as on the teapot but someone stuck the lid down in a couple of places very crudely with packaging tape that had bumps and creases so that it was impossible to open the box without damaging it just to check if the item inside was damage free. There are other ways to secure such a lid without damaging the beautiful box for shipping purposes.

Lastly, I am totally surprised that nothing was broken as it was shipped in a huge box twice the size of the box this came in and only a couple of pieces of bubble packs inside (on top of and none under it) which was not nearly enough to stop it bouncing around inside the box, Have discussed this problem with Amazon.com customer service several times this year alone but they continue to ship items in this manner.

I bought this as a gift for a friend but there is no way that I can give this to her. I am extremely disappointed overall with the quality and the packaging of this product and the look of the teapot itself. If you are going to buy this item expect it not to look like the picture - unless of course I got the only dud in the bunch.

I purchased this for my daughter's Valentine's Day tea party... I had around 5 children ranging in age from 3 to 5 years of age, and this tea pot was perfect for little hands to hold and pour on their own. We love how cute it is... definately what we were looking for!

Got this as a gift and I adore it! I am just a collector of things pink and sweet, unless someone actually comes by to use it....it will just sit here and look awesome!

It use's 2 quarter size batteries and would have thought because this is an LED bulb, that it would last longer. But I turned on two and left them on, after 3 days they were dead. Batteries changed easily enough, so I will try different batteries to see if they sent me trashy stock or not.

Purchased these lights after seeing underwater LED's used in a center piece arrangement. In looking, single color models were $6 per but these were 10 for just over $10. Although these rotate through various colors, I felt that buying 10 for less than the cost of 2 was the way to go.

The product works as described with no failures. We placed three into a 5 gal cool beverage dispenser and two into an outside fish tank. The effect was very nice although I believe that I would rather have a single color model or the ability to lock in one of the colors only for appearances. We would have rather had only blue or purple for our cool beverage as an example instead of green and red also.

For the money, this is still a great deal and a cool effect which met what we were looking for as a decoration additive.

I got two packs of ten and each had one light that didn't work no matter how hard I twisted it to turn on. A friend of mind did manage t make them work using plyers. They also took a couple weeks to arrive (but that's because I didnt want to pay a bunch for shipping). Otherwise they light up pretty well, and worked great for the jack-o-lanterns I used them for.
